Hello, my name is Megan Kang.
An Exhibition + Civic Spatial Experience Designer based in Los Angeles.
Thesis Project Concept:
Exploring spatial design as a non-pharmaceutical intervention for adults with anhedonia, a dopamine-based mental disorder. The project uses the experience of epiphany, or the “aha” moment, as a tool to design environments that elevate dopamine response and emotional reconnection alongside family and friends.
I love how space shapes the way people feel and see the world. That curiosity drives my work, creating environments that bring a sense of comfort, wonder, and connection, while inviting people to learn something new or experience a familiar idea from a fresh perspective.
I hold an MS in Spatial Experience Design from ArtCenter College of Design and a BFA in Interior Architecture from Academy of Art University. My projects focus on human-centered, narrative-driven design that blends intuitive wayfinding with visual storytelling across residential, commercial, and experiential work.
I'm looking to join a collaborative team where I can contribute to and learn amongst experienced designers while helping shape spaces that leave a lasting impression.
I'd love to connect! Reach out for my full resume and portfolio.
